Building Safety is part of the Building and Zoning Department. It focuses on protecting the health, safety, and general welfare of the community and its residents.
This includes:
- Code enforcement
- Requirement of permit applications
- Code and compliance review
- Various inspections required during construction, including:
- Foundations
- Framing
- Insulation
- Electrical
- Fire alarms
- Mechanical
- Plumbing
- Sprinkler systems
- Final inspections for an occupancy permit
