FIRE CHIEF
CITY OF LITCHFIELD, IL

The City of Litchfield, Illinois is seeking an experienced candidate to lead a 24/7 Fire/EMS Department with two fire stations, 14 career/full-time and 35 volunteer personnel with a $1M budget. The Fire Department provides fire, emergency medical and rescue services to over 8,000 residents within an approximate 20 square miles area and provides mutual aid to surrounding communities.

A bachelor’s degree in fire administration, public administration or related field required, with preference for paramedic certification. Applicants should possess extensive experience in municipal fire departments with a minimum of five years in a command position. Fire Prevention Officer, Fire Officer and EMT Certification are required with preference to paramedics, or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
