Minutes of Adjourned Meeting
Wednesday, November 18, 2009


Mayor Thomas F. Jones called the Adjourned Meeting to order on November 18, 2009 at 6:15 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present on roll call were Gary Wise, Marilyn Sisson, Pat Timmons, Harold Ellinger, Gary Law, William Dees and Gene Cailey. Absent at time of roll call was Alderman Ostendorf.

Alderman Timmons made a motion, seconded by Alderman Wise to approve an Ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus personal property - a 1988 Pierce Arrow Fire Truck, Vin Number 109CA01g7JA040633, owned by the City of Litchfield to the highest and best offer. (1st Reading).

The Mayor directed the City Clerk to call a roll call vote.
Ayes: Wise, Sisson, Timmons, Ellinger, Law, Dees, and Cailey
Nays: None
Absent: Ostendorf
Motion carried.

Alderman Ostendorf entered the Council Chambers at this time.

Alderman Timmons made a motion, seconded by Alderman Dees to approve auto, general, law, public officials, EPLI, excess liability and workers compensation insurance through Simpson Insurance Services, Inc., via Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust for an annual amount of $250,872. Alderman Dees asked for some clarification regarding rate and a possible safety program. Jim Simpson of Simpson Insurance explained the classification of employees make a rate difference.

The Mayor directed the City Clerk to call a roll call vote.
Ayes: Wise, Sisson, Timmons, Ellinger, Law, Ostendorf, Dees and Cailey
Nays: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.

City Administrator, Andy Ritchie gave an update on the Streetscape Project.

There being no further business, Alderman Dees made a motion, seconded by Alderman Cailey to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The Adjourned City Council Meeting adjourned at 6:25 pm.
