RC Jet Rally -
September 6 - 9, 2007

The Litchfield Airport Authority and the Route 66 Jets RC Club are sponsoring a Remote Control (RC) Jets Rally from Thursday September 6 through Sunday September 9. Over 40 contestants and 100 aircraft from all over the United States will be attending this event. The majority of all jet aircraft in the world will be represented at this event. These aircraft are true scale models with real miniature jet engines. The average price for these models is between $10,000 and $40,000.

The public is invited to attend this event from 9:00 A.M. to sunset everyday. For a $5 entrance fee, you will receive a wristband that will entitle you to attend any and all days of the event. Parking is free. Food concessions are available or bring your own food and tailgate in the parking area. Please bring you own lawn chairs for seating and don’t forget your cameras. Children 15 years and younger will be admitted free.

Access to the event will be along US Route 66 South, the "Mother Road". Turn right at "Airport Trail" which is the road immediately south of the airport entrance. Look for signs.

Pilots flying in will use runway 9/27. Runway 18/36 will be closed. Please make your down wind approach south of runway 18/36 and then make an extended base leg.
