HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

The Litchfield Chamber of Commerce and the City of Litchfield Tourism Office are partnering together this year to bring you Litchfield's Home for the Holidays. We are combining the Holiday Walk, 5th Annual Festival of Trees and Winter Parade to make your holiday spirit soar. Mark your calendars! The date for this Christmas extravaganza is scheduled for November 23-25, 2007.

The Chamber and the City are very excited to work together. The 3 day event starts on Friday November 23. The Festival of Trees and the Christmas Market will open at the Community Center on South State Street at 5 pm.

The Winter Parade starts at 5 pm on Friday, November 23 from the Community Center at 1100 South State and will travel through downtown Litchfield on State Street and end at the Moose lodge.

The Chamber of Commerce Holiday Walk is a chance for the Litchfield Businesses to showcase their beautiful holiday decorations and offer some refreshments and special deals for the spectators. Homemade Christmas ornaments made by students from grades kindergarten through 3rd grade will be displayed at various businesses. The holiday walk is scheduled for Friday, November 23 from 5-8.

On Friday, November 23, Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25 visit the Festival of Trees and Christmas Market at the Community Center for shopping, bidding on trees, entertainment and kid's activities. Sunday concludes the marketplace and Festival of Trees. The silent bids will be awarded on Sunday, November 25 at 3 pm. There will be kid's activities and entertainment at the Community Center Saturday and Sunday.

Set up of Sponsor Trees 4pm-8pm
Set up of Marketplace 4pm-8pm

Friday, November 23
Set up of Marketplace 8am-4pm
Set up of Sponsor Trees 8am-4pm
FOT and Marketplace open 5pm-9pm
Line up for Parade at
Community Center 4pm
Winter Parade 5pm
Community Center to Ryder St.
then on to the Moose for
refreshments
Holiday Walk and Sidewalk Sales 5pm-9pm
Litchfield Train Group at 5pm-9pm
Ameriprise Financial
$1.00 admission (Proceeds to benefit the
"Titans" Litchfield's Junior Football League)


Saturday, November 24
Make-It, Jingle Bell Jog 8am
At Walton Park
Festival of Trees and
Christmas Market 10am-6pm
Kids Corner with Santa 10am-1pm
Jerry Dowding Flutes 10am-4pm
Dog Parade Costume Contest 2pm

Sunday, November 25
Festival of Trees and
Christmas Marktet 12-3pm
LHS Jazz Band 1pm
Silent bids close and
Trees awarded 3pm

We encourage you to join the Litchfield Chamber of Commerce and the City Tourism Office in this family focused Holiday celebration.
