Litchfield Police Department Mission Statement

The Litchfield Police Department, as an agency, dedicates itself to the service and protection of the citizens of Litchfield and the surrounding areas. We uphold this dedication through the personal, professional, thorough, courteous, and vigilant pursuit of justice. It is our goal to maintain a strong sense of community with our citizens, as we endeavor to provide the best law enforcement service possible, everyday.

The Litchfield Police Department is located in the rear of the City Hall Complex, and was completely renovated and updated in 2005. The Litchfield Police Department is staffed by 15 full time officers and 2 full time support personnel.

The Litchfield Police Department maintains an equipment fleet of 18 vehicles of various types. This includes 15 patrol vehicles, 1 animal control vehicle, 1 ordinance enforcement vehicle.In a typical year, the Litchfield Police Department will log over 150,000 miles handling calls for service.
