The 1200+ acre lake offers the best in boating with 45 miles of beautiful shoreline, 8 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. Skiers slash the blue waves, swimmers play in the cool water, and sunbathers enjoy the beach area. Fishermen wait to catch the big one whether it is bass, crappie, bluegill, or catfish. Fishing license available on premises.
The Lake offers two excellent marine facilities with gasoline available at Marina #1. There is no horsepower limit, speed limit restrictions. Annual or daily lake permits are available at Marina #1. No jet skis or wet bikes allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays. The picnic and campgrounds are open April - October.
The 300 acre park area has five beautiful picnic areas, two playgrounds, pavilions, rest rooms, and convenient sanitary outdoor stoves. The two campgrounds offer both primitive and trailer camping. Trailer pads include hookups, flush restrooms, city water, and free shower facilities. There are horseshoe pits in the shaded campground area. The park area also allows horseback riding on trails.
Swimming is fun at the public pay beach. The beach house has showers, restrooms, snack bar, and lifeguards on duty.
