Mayor Thomas F. Jones called the Special Meeting to order August 18, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. Present on roll call were Greg Beiermann, Sylvester Jarman, Pat Timmons, Harold Ellinger Jr, William Cornman, David Rovey, William Dees and Gene Cailey. Absent: None. City Clerk Marilyn Hartke read the Notice of Special Meeting.

Phil Schoen addressed the Council stating his concerns for good pure water.

Bob Campbell addressed the Council requesting that the Aldermen use good judgement when voting on the new water plant.

Ted LaBelle with Crawford Murphy & Tilly introduced David File with CMT who was here to discuss any questions anyone might have concerning the membrane system.

City Administrator Bob Knabel reviewed the previous history of the water plant’s planning and design and gave his recommendations.

A motion was made by Timmons seconded by Rovey to rescind the previous motion regarding the water plant and to proceed with the membrane filtration system for the new water treatment plant. On roll call voting aye were Beiermann, Jarman, Timmons, Ellinger, Cornman, Rovey, Dees and Cailey. Naye: None. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Beiermann seconded by Ellinger to adjourn at 7:49 P.M. Motion carried.
