Mayor Thomas F. Jones called the Adjourned Meeting to order July 25, 2005 at 5:30 P.M. Present on roll call were Greg Beiermann, Sylvester Jarman, Pat Timmons, Harold Ellinger Jr, William Cornman, David Rovey, William Dees and Gene Cailey. Absent: None.

Gordon Hartel addressed the Council requesting a refund of part of the Corporate Real Estate tax due to the fact that he had only been in the City for 7 weeks in 2004. His request died for lack of a motion.

A motion was made by Rovey seconded by Beiermann to appoint Sylvester Jarman Mayor Pro-tem. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jarman seconded by Ellinger to approve the Mayor’s appointment of Gary Edwards to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Mayor Jones distributed a revised list of his Standing Committees.

Ted LaBelle with Crawford Murphy & Tilly led a lengthy discussion on the membrane system for the new water plant. A motion was made by Dees seconded by Cornman to approve the pilot plant rental agreement with Pall Water Processing Incorporated in the amount of $50,000.00 subject to Attorney Hantla’s approval of the agreement. On roll call voting aye were Cornman, Dees and Cailey. Naye: Beiermann, Jarman, Timmons, Ellinger and Rovey. Motion failed.

A motion was made by Beiermann seconded by Jarman to approve Filtration Alternative No 2, which calls for sand filtration only. On roll call voting aye were Jarman, Timmons, Ellinger, Rovey and Beiermann. Naye: Cornman, Dees and Cailey. Motion carried.

There being no further business a motion was made by Rovey seconded by Beiermann to adjourn at 7:10 P.M. Motion carried.
