Public Works Oversight Committee Report and
Recommended Action
A. A motion to award the bid for the installation
of the HVAC in City Hall to Culbertson Heating and
Cooling in the amount of $66,998.00.
B. A motion to begin the renovation of City Hall
and the Police Station in a 3-phased approach.
C. A motion to increase the retainage fee of
Korte-Luitjohan on all pay requests and change orders
from 5% to 10%, effective January 31, 2002 in regard
to work completed at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
D. A motion to authorize the City Administrator to
contact Ed Lowe of E.L. Consulting and gather
information on a contract to make an application and
to do administrative work and inspection of homes in
the event the City receives a CDAP grant.
E. A motion to conduct a housing assessment and
needs study, estimated at $1500, so as to participate
in a Community Housing Development Organization’s
first-time home buyer program.
F. A motion to have the Mayor, Alderman Gene Cailey
and the City Administrator meet and relay back to the
Council some ideas and cost estimates about the
possible uses of the "New Reservoir".
